      Grading Machine - GSF Size Grading Machine is to sort shrimps into 6
grades. Its working principle is to sort shrimps as 6 sizes through their diameter, by machine adjusting the distance
of rollers. Compared with picking shrimps artificially,
machine can improve productivity of 98% and reduce labor costs. 

The shrimps are graded by the gap between two rollers
automatically. The gap is available to adjust. A total of
12 rollers is available. Accuracy of shrimp size reach to
0.1mm. In other words, a 98% accuracy is achievable.
Main sizes are 9/12, 13/15, 16/20, 21/25, 26/30 and 31/40.
The speed of the shrimp grading machine is about 1,000
kilogram per hour. Shrimp grading machine save a lot
of manpower instead of grading the shrimp manually. It
also gives a high degree of accuracy.
      Metal Detector - Contamination of shrimp by metal parts from broken processing machinery and staples from packaging materials during the manufacturing process is a major safety issue in the shrimp processing industry. As such, metal detector is used and integrated into the shrimp production line. Metal detector detects the nearby presence of metal and are useful for finding metal inclusions hidden within the shrimp in
the ice block. 

At Global Seafood, we install a conveyor type of Metal detector that are capable of detecting 2.0 mm Ferrous metal and 2.5 mm Stainless steel particle.

We ensure all the finished products undergo metal detection for safety purpose. Should the metal detector beep, the product will be rejected.
      Blast Contact Freezer - At Global Seafood, we use a locally manufactured Blast Contact Plate Freezer for our products.

The main products are block frozen Head-On Shell-On 1.3 kilogram Black Tiger prawns and block frozen 1.8 kilogram Head-Less Shell-On White Shrimp for the Japanese market.

The refrigerant (FREON 908) is allowed to circulate inside the thin channels within the plates. High rate of heat exchange transfer occur between the shrimp and the evaporating plates. With high heat exchange efficiency, short freezing time and high quality freezing can be achieved. The freezing capacity of the Blast Contact Plate Freezer is about 437 kilogram for 1.3 kilogram pack and 604 kilogram for 1.8 kilogram pack per cycle. Average freezing time is about 2.0 hours for the shrimp to achieve minus 18 Celsius.
      Flake Ice Machine - Global Seafood Sdn. Bhd. uses Koyo Flake Ice Machine to produce fresh and clean flake ice, that is perfect for shrimp processing. The flake ice produced are flat, thin pieces of ice (2.0 -3.0 mm). They are formed on the inner surface of the drum by pouring a film of water over it, upon touching the drum, the water freezes into a sheet of ice. This ice is sub-cooled in order to make it brittle, and then cracked off by an ice knife, resulting in the ice falling into the storage. Flake ice has a larger heat
exchange surface than other types of ice, so heat transfer between shrimp and ice occurs faster and more efficiently in the shrimp processing plant.

Since the flake ice is slightly overcooled (-5 to -7 ° C), it can give 83 kcal per kg when melted from ice water; therefore, slightly more heat can be obtained than other types of ice at 0 ° C (80 kcal per kg). Flake ice is
easy to store and transport when adequately designed supercooled (-5 ° C) insulated storage is provided.

Flake ice production starts very shortly after starting the machine and allows almost “ice on demand”. Flake ice is ready for use immediately after production (no need to be crushed).
      Halal Water Filtration System - At Global Seafood Sdn. Bhd,, we respect our customer’s beliefs and culture. A proportion
of our customers are Muslims. The underlying principle for a Muslim’s diet has to be Halal (Things or action permitted by Syariah law) and Thoyyiban (Wholesome healthy, safe, nutritious and quality).

We are very particular about these issues and we know that water and ice are the main components of our processing process. As such, we ensure that all the incoming water and the water for making
all our ice flakes undergo a Halal water filtration system. We are proud to be the first and only shrimp processing plant in Malaysia to install a fully Halal water filtration system. As such, we can ensure all our Muslim customer has a safe Halal product for consumption.
